AllBright Art Crawl

WHAT IS IT? AllBright Art Crawl brings a weekend of cultural activities (UVA Art Expo Brighton, Allston Open Studios, and more) under one promotional umbrella. During a weekend this fall, local artists will open their studios, galleries will offer art for sale, and music will fill the streets. Businesses can install local art, provide in-store demonstrations, or host performances. There's even a bike and pedicab tour planned to help visitors explore the neighborhood...October is Art Month!

WHEN: Saturday, October 13, and Sunday, October 14, 2018

  • Help us promote your business on the Art Crawl map and website. Some ideas and examples:
    • Discount in your shop or free item for Art Crawl attendees
    • Local art on the walls of a coffee shop
    • Cake-decorating demonstration at a bakery
    • Wine and cheese tasting
    • Drop-in art activity ("sip 'n' paint nite" or children's crafts)
    • Host an acoustic performer (no permit needed!)

Q: I want to participate but I am not sure how.
A: No problem! Contact us and we'll help you plan and promote. You'll have to pay for any supplies or fees yourself.

Q: I missed the deadline, can I still participate?
A: Of course! The deadline is necessary for printed materials, but we can still add you to the website and social media posts!

Q: Does my business need to be within the Allston Village or Brighton Main Streets district to participate?
A: No! Although most events will happen within the neighborhood commercial districts, we are happy to include any Allston (02134) or Brighton (02135) business.

Q: How much does it cost to be listed in Art Crawl promotional materials?
A: Nothing, zilch, nada! It's totally free thanks to our funder, the Boston Main Streets Foundation.

Q: Who is behind this amazing event?
A: AllBright Art Crawl is a collaboration between Allston Village Main Streets, Brighton Main Streets, Unbound Visual Arts, Allston Open Studios, with support from Commonwheels and Allston Pudding, among others!

The program has been made possible with grants from the Boston Main Streets Foundation, Boston Main Streets, and the Mayor’s Office of Economic Development.
