Brighton Main Streets, as part of its focus on economic restructuring, seeks both (1) community volunteers with valuable business experience and (2) youthful, inexperienced students and citizens with new and developing skills for the transformational economy of the Internet.

Our current Internship Program is designed to help current Main Streets businesses without websites to --

  • understand fully the reasons for quickly developing a website;
  • assess existing business products and services to determine if the Internet could be used to enhance these products and services;
  • determine if the business needs to develop a plan to change its products or services based on the evolving Internet economy;
  • plan, design, develop, and implement a website that will either cut operating costs, increase profitability, or expand sales.

Currently, the Internship Positions do not pay a salary. Brighton Main Streets is seeking alliances and partnerships with community non-profit organizations and corporations to fund the Internship Program for fiscal year 2002.
