The
Brighton Main Streets Board believes that a healthy
neighborhood deserves a strong neighborhood center.
The Board, staff, business owners, community volunteers,
and interns work to create an attractive commercial
area that houses a good business mix and features a
welcoming streetscape and attractive architecture. We
strive to maintain the neighborhood feeling of our commercial
district, where business owners and residents take pride
in the appearance of their stores and houses. We seek
to foster collaboration among businesses and civic groups
in the Main Street effort, contributing to a cooperative
community spirit.
To
achieve our broad goals, Brighton Main Streets has developed
7 specific service programs (see right column) and has
organized 3 committees to direct these programs:
- Design
Committee
- Economic
Restructuring Committee
- Promotions
