ROSIE
HANLON , a lifelong resident of Brighton, became the Program
Director of Brighton Main Streets in the Fall of 2000.
Rosie
is no stranger to the Brighton Main Streets program, as she
has co-chaired the Promotion Committee as well as worked on
several events, such as anti-litter programs, the Fall Festival
of Flavors, and the Brighton Main Streets Millennium Gala.
Rosie
has been involved with Brighton businesses for over a decade.
As Executive Secretary of the Brighton Board of Trade (BBOT),
Rosie worked to market local businesses by creating the Allston/Brighton
Business Directory and the Brighton Board of Trade website
(www.brightonbot.com).
In addition to her BBOT responsibilities, Rosie was also president
of her own marketing and motivational training company and
wrote a weekly business column for The Allston/Brighton
Tab.
Rosies
priorities for the Brighton Main Streets Program are as follows:
- to
maximize shopping opportunities for Brighton residents;
- to
increase foot and shopping traffic in the Main Streets district;
- to
encourage residents to volunteer their services to help
promote economic activity and community spirit;
- to
assist business owners in finding innovative ways and new
opportunities for prospering in a changing economy.
